Big Snow in Missoula
It all starts with the SNOW! With a big February snowfall, we are starting to see our local snowpack stack up. It’s looking like we are about 90% for most of the Missoula drainage. The past few years have been a bit grim and late summer has led to lower flows in our rivers. This week alone we have about 12” of fresh snow in our yard and it makes for some fun winter activities. Sledding, skiing and snowball fights have kept my family busy this month and I am looking forward to what it brings us for our river flows. It seems like we are on pace for a good year and if we can continue this momentum we will see more snow in March and April that will really push us through the summer.
